Warm Congratulations on the Successful Launching of 2070TEU Container Vessel "HONGTAI 637"

On August 28, the third 2070TEU container vessel "HONGTAI 637", built by Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., was successfully launched. The vessel completed its entire construction cycle from steel-cutting to launching in 190 days (commenced on February 19, 2022, and dock-assembled on April 19, 2022). Despite enduring over 40 days of continuous rainfall and 50+ days of extreme heat, frontline workers overcame adverse weather conditions and maintained high morale to ensure on-schedule delivery.

Classified by China Classification Society (CCS), this steel-hulled vessel features single deck, tail-engine type configuration with single propeller and rudder. Driven by diesel engines, it adopts a bulbous stern and vertical bulbous bow design. The forecastle is located at the foredeck, while the aft section houses a seven-deck superstructure. Container stacks are positioned at the aft deck, with double-bottom tanks and side tanks serving as ballast water tanks. Designed for coastal navigation across Chinese ports.
