Warmly Celebrate the Commencement of Construction of Two 14,000 DWT Series General Cargo Vessels

On September 21, the construction of two 14,000 DWT series general cargo vessels, built by Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for a Japanese shipowner, officially commenced!

The vessels are classed by CCS, with an overall length of 119.95 m, length between perpendiculars of 117.50 m, molded breadth of 21.70 m, molded depth of 13.90 m, design draft of 8.90 m, deadweight of approx. 13,760 t, service speed of approx. 12.5 kn, gross tonnage of approx. 9,960, net tonnage of approx. 4,320, and main engine MCR of 3,150 kW × 121.0 r/min. The vessels are designed for unrestricted navigation. The design is provided by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), with plan approval and surveys conducted by CCS.
