On May 19, the second 2070TEU container vessel "HONGTAI 639", built by Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., was successfully launched. The vessel achieved dock-assembly completion in merely 130 days. By rigorously adhering to production schedules, task lists, timelines, and responsibility matrices, the team prioritized both manufacturing efficiency and quality control. Technological enhancements were vigorously implemented, driving simultaneous improvements in production and quality to forge a brighter future for Donghong.

Classified by China Classification Society (CCS), this steel-hulled vessel features single deck, stern-engine configuration with single propeller and rudder. Diesel-powered with bulbous stern and vertical bulbous bow design, it includes a forecastle at the foredeck and a seven-deck superstructure aft. Containers are stacked on the aft deck, utilizing double-bottom tanks and side tanks as ballast water tanks. Designed for coastal navigation across Chinese ports.
