To: All Crew Members of Ningbo Donghong Shipping Fleet
Greetings!
Amidst the persistent challenges of the pandemic, you have steadfastly manned your posts, braving risks as maritime frontliners. Your selfless dedication ensures the stability of Donghong’s fleet and the continuity of global supply chains. To safeguard your health and minimize transmission risks, we urge all crew members to strictly implement the following COVID-19 prevention protocols for maritime transport:
I. Study and strictly implement the “COVID-19 Prevention and Control Guidelines for Ships and Crew (Version 9.0)” issued by the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport. Closely monitor changes in the pandemic situation, promptly understand the latest prevention and control policies and requirements, actively acquire knowledge and skills related to epidemic prevention, and continuously enhance personal protection capabilities.
II. Effectively strengthen personal protection measures, receive the required doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as per regulations, and ensure that each vessel is fully equipped with necessary epidemic prevention materials. During berthing operations, all crew members must wear masks, gloves, and other protective equipment properly throughout the entire operation period, and strictly follow the requirement of “non-essential disembarkation prohibited.” All visiting personnel boarding the ship should also be urged to wear masks and other protective gear properly for the entire duration. Unnecessary contact with external personnel should be avoided, and a social distance of at least one meter should be maintained during communication.
III. Carry out self-health monitoring, and regularly conduct training on epidemic prevention knowledge and emergency response drills. If symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea, or fatigue occur, immediate self-isolation should be carried out, and the company, local port health authorities, and maritime administration should be notified immediately. Subsequent actions must be taken in accordance with relevant requirements.
IV. Pay attention to the official WeChat mini-program “National Government Service Platform” to keep track of the risk levels of ports in medium- and high-risk areas in real time. Proactively understand and strictly comply with local epidemic prevention requirements and crew change policies. Report the list of ports visited by the vessel in the past 14 days and the health status of the crew to the destination port terminal in advance. During anchoring, unnecessary shore leave should be avoided. If absolutely necessary, only authorized transport boats should be used for going ashore.
V. During the pandemic, when purchasing supplies, refueling, taking on fresh water, or delivering pollutants, contact and make appointments with the relevant service units in advance. Non-contact operations and delivery services should be adopted wherever possible to minimize person-to-person contact.
Pandemic control is our shared responsibility. We deeply appreciate your commitment and families’ unwavering support. Let us unite to fortify our maritime defense against COVID-19!
