This vessel is an international navigation zone asphalt/product oil tanker, classified by the French BV classification society. It was designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute, with the review and inspection of drawings carried out by the BV classification society.

This vessel is suitable for carrying asphalt (including coal tar) or refined oil products with a flash point above 60°C, as permitted by the assigned class notation. The ship features a vertical stem with a bulbous bow, a transom stern, and a fully suspended flap rudder, equipped with a ducted propeller and boss cap fins or other energy-saving devices to improve propulsion efficiency.
