This vessel is designed as a steel-structured, single-deck, stern-engine, single-engine, single-propeller, single-rudder bulk carrier navigating in domestic coastal navigation areas and ports along the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, suitable for transporting bulk cargoes including coal, iron ore, and grain. The ship features a single continuous deck with a square stern (no forecastle) and a vertical stem. A 5-deck superstructure is located at the stern, housing all accommodation spaces (including the wheelhouse) and machinery spaces.

The vessel has 4 cargo holds, an engine room, and fore/aft peak tanks, separated by 6 watertight bulkheads. No bow thruster or cargo handling equipment is installed. The cargo hold area and engine room feature a single hull with double bottom. Hydraulic folding hatch covers are fitted on hatch coamings, and the hull structure is reinforced for Class B ice conditions.
