Xiangshan's Newly Built Largest Tonnage Vessel Successfully Departs for Sea Trial

On December 17th, the newly built largest tonnage vessel in Xiangshan—the 63,850 DWT bulk carrier "LH EVERBLOOM"—was completed outfitting as scheduled at Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. After rigorous inspection procedures and approval processes, the vessel smoothly passed through Xiawanmen to commence its sea trial.

The sea trial mission is significant and meticulously organized. Onboard, an elite team has been assembled, including the sea trial commander, senior captain, surveyors from the Zhejiang Branch of China Classification Society (CCS), engineers from relevant equipment service providers, shipowner supervision representatives, and all sea trial crew members. According to the pre-established detailed sea trial outline, the team will conduct comprehensive and high-intensity offshore tests and verifications over the next three days on the vessel’s navigation performance, propulsion system, maneuverability, automation level, safety devices and various types of mechanical equipment. This sea trial not only rigorously tests the ship's design and construction quality but also fully demonstrates Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.'s technical proficiency in building large bulk carriers.

The successful sea trial of the 63,850 DWT bulk carrier owes much to the care and guidance of government departments at all levels, the strong support and safety supervision of Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration and Xiangshan Maritime Safety Office, the precise and professional pilotage of Ningbo Pilot Station, and the technical support and rigorous oversight provided by the China Classification Society (CCS) throughout the design review and inspection processes.
