On February 10, the steel cutting ceremony was held for the 24,800 DWT stainless steel chemical/oil tanker built by Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for a Zhoushan shipowner!

The vessel is classed with China Classification Society (CCS). It has an overall length of 152.70 m, length between perpendiculars of 149.80 m, molded breadth of 27.00 m, molded depth of 14.00 m, design draft of 9.90 m, deadweight of approximately 24,800 t, service speed of approximately 13.5 knots, gross tonnage of approximately 16,702, net tonnage of approximately 6,726, and is powered by a main engine rated at 5,300 kW × 115 r/min. The ship is designed for unrestricted navigation, equipped with an unmanned engine room, and features cargo tanks constructed of duplex stainless steel, primarily intended for the carriage of Class 2 chemicals and refined oil products. The vessel’s drawings were prepared by Zhejiang Seahead Marine Design & Research Institute and reviewed and surveyed by CCS.
